New Jersey Legislator Introduces Telemedicine Parity Bills

So far this year, 16 states have introduced telemedicine parity legislation including New Jersey which introduced bills permitting coverage for private insurance, Medicaid (FFS and managed care), and state employee health plans. Senator Shirley Turner (D-15), and NOBEL member, introduced S 2337 and S 2338 which would prohibit health insurance plans from requiring in-person contact before a telemedicine encounter as a condition of payment.
