Maine Telehealth and Telemonitoring Advisory Group
The goal of the Group is to evaluate technical difficulties related to telehealth and telemonitoring services, and make recommendations to improve services
Facilitated by MCD Global Health (MCD) and the Northeast Telehealth Resource Center (NETRC) since 2019 in close collaboration with the DHHS Commissioner’s Office, the THTM Advisory holds quarterly meetings, with a focus on bringing state-wide stakeholders to the table to exchange key strategies and a broad variety of resources for addressing challenges and opportunities through telehealth solutions, both specific to current and evolving healthcare and telehealth landscapes (e.g. rural health systems strengthening, COVID-19 pandemic, workforce shortages, behavioral health crises). The Advisory has maintained a diverse membership representing organizations and perspectives required per statute, as well as additional expertise across State agencies, clinical disciplines and organizations with a strong interest in supporting telehealth expansion and integration to help improve health access and outcomes across Maine.
